My horse Maja came into my life when she was eleven years old and I was thirteen. We grew up together and became a real team. We shared many wonderful moments.
When I went to university, I had to make the difficult decision to sell her. Fortunately, she ended up with a very kind owner, with whom I stayed in close contact. Our paths crossed again at a special moment: when I was ill myself, the owner offered to sell Maja back to me. Just when I needed her most, she came back to me. I knew what it felt like to miss her, so I cherished the time we had left together all the more. Eventually, due to her age, she began to suffer from more and more ailments, and I had to make the difficult decision to have her put to sleep. She was 25 years old. I wanted to keep her and all my memories of her close to me.
